Geotechnical investigations in land & marine involve assessing subsurface soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to support safe, stable construction. These studies are essential for determining the feasibility and design of foundations for various infrastructure projects.
Geotechnical laboratory testing analyzes soil and rock samples to determine properties like strength, compaction, permeability, and grain size. These results guide design decisions for foundations and earthworks in construction.
A topographic survey maps the land’s surface features and elevations, while a hydrographic survey focuses on underwater terrain and water bodies. Both are essential for infrastructure planning, navigation, and environmental assessments.
Micro piling involves installing small-diameter piles to support structures in difficult ground conditions, while drilling and grouting stabilize soils and fill voids by injecting grout into drilled holes. Both methods improve foundation strength and ground stability.
Prestressed rock anchors are high-strength steel tendons inserted into drilled holes in rock and tensioned to stabilize structures or slopes. They provide additional support to resist forces such as uplift or lateral movements.
